Jehove Jireh – God Provides

Saturday, July 2nd, 2011

June 15, 2010 Gerry lost his job and we went on unemployment. We did have some money in savings but only about enough to cover our bills for about three months. With unemployment we get about $1600 a month. Our regular bills before we pay our tithe, buy food, or do anything with our vehicles are $1,865. In the 12 months since we’ve been on unemployment we have gone to California to see family twice, Gerry went to Redding CA to go to Bethel; Sacramento, CA; Reno, Nevada; and Boise, idaho. He also went on the youth mission trip to Oakland, CA. We have not missed one meal. We have received more clothes than we know what to do with for Elli. She has attended dance classes, and music class. We have gotten new tires for both our vehicles and I had my air conditioner fixed. I have art supplies for Elli and for myself.

Gerry and a friend have partnered together and are trying hard to develop their design and construction business but up until now it has been a little slow getting started. We are seeing lots of good signs and they just signed a good contract that will begin to bring in some money.

During this entire year we have not gone into debt. We haven’t used credit cards nor have we asked for money from any one. God has been our Jehovah Jireh and he has provided abundantly for us. I am not going to say it’s been easy – there have been times when I wondered how we were going to be able to survive but God has always shown up with exactly what we needed.

Year of Jubilee!!!

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

We received this testimony of financial miracle from a member of our church. God is so good!!

Last week I was sharing with a friend about our financial struggles and how we are behind on our house payments and was in need of a miracle. I told her of the prophetic word that had been spoken over us and how I know God is faithful and he was going to take care of the situation. I also shared how my husband was struggling with a client and how I felt that we should forgive him of the debt he owes us; even though we need the money we need to bless them and forgive the debt. He met with the client the next day and told him that we are forgiving the debt so that it didn’t cause any hard feelings between us he was willing to let it go and he knew we were both struggling financially and this is a way we can bless him and make it easier for him.

My friend gave me this scripture Deuteronomy 15:1-6. I have never heard of the Year of Jubilee before and it really got me excited. I started to pray and claim this as the year of Jubilee for our family.

We were three months (almost four) behind on our mortgage. We spoke to our mortgage company last week and found out that we didn’t qualify for any help and we had to have one payment in by July 1st and the other three payments by July 20th. I knew what God had promised and the prophetic word that has been spoken about this situation. Then a check came in that would allow us to make one payment and give us a couple more weeks of breathing room. We were so grateful and praising God, knowing he would provide the rest.

I know our faith is being tested. Exercising this muscle getting us ready for what God has called us to do.

Monday I went to intercessory prayer and asked everyone what happened in church on Sunday since we were out of town. One thing that that was  mentioned was that God gave a word to Pastor Randy of this being a year of Jubilee and Randy imparted it to the body. I knew that affirmed what God had showed me. Keep in mind that God had made a way for us to make one house payment so we were praising him and thanking him for what he had provided, but today God took it to a whole new level.

Tuesday we called to make a mortgage payment and they asked why? We were told that we didn’t owe a payment until August 1st and for the next three months our payments have been reduced. My husband couldn’t believe his ears and asked him to repeat it three times. We never made an agreement with our mortgage company. The paper work we filled out was denied because we didn’t qualify for assistance. God is our advocate and he provided a way for us not only to keep our house but to have reduced payments. I am in awe of him and his love for us.

Let this testimony affirm to you that this truly is the year of Jubilee for Summit church!!!

These are some additional reports we have received about what God is doing lately…

Their first Sunday here someone gave a word of knowledge that God wanted to heal blood disorders. We prayed for her and this past week she received another report that everything was normal!
  • David and Debbie’s daughter who was an addict and in jail has been released and she is healthy, going to church, and has a job that she is excelling in. God has turned her life around.
  • Debbie’s father was diagnosed with lymphoma. Recently he went in and the Doctors told him that the cancer cells had not grown any, in fact the may have even shrunk. The doctor was not able to say he was in remission but they are going to do one more round of chemo. So keep him in your prayers!
  • David has been mentoring Ronnie who is in Eastham unit in Lovelady TX. One Sunday David had a strong burden for him, so he prayed and when they had a chance to talk, David asked what happened that day. Ronnie told him that on that day there was a motorcycle group that was there and God showed up.

There were gang members laying down their colors, homosexuals laying down their lifestyles and many people were saved. Ronnie teaches a

  • The church van’s air conditioner which was not working has begun working again! God cares about the things that matter to us!!!

Financial Blessing… again!

Another great report of what God is doing for members of our congregation…

A week ago Friday I went and spent what money I had for tables and so forth for another event with my side business, I had been borrowing these items up until this point. Saturday morning, day of the big outdoor event, it was pouring down rain from 4:30 am until the late morning hours. Event fell through. I had no choice but to return the items purchased for a refund, one location would only give me a gift card and the other cash. I was wanting the credit back on my debit card, oh well, I need to go to the bank anyway to deposit a check I had collected from selling some product.

Well Monday rolls around and I completely forget about making the deposit. I get home and look at my account online? and I’m $4.04 overdrawn! I rush to the bank and deposit the money thinking I had dodged a bullet. I check the account again Tues afternoon and all the debit items posted and not the deposit. I was on the phone with the bank, but there was nothing they could do, I made the deposit after the “cut-off” time. (still doesn’t explain why the cash didn’t post) Now I’m overdrawn $40.00 plus, small balance items, of course. One was $1.50 for a cup of coffee at McDonald’s? so I’m looking at 5 NSF’s (because they pay the largest items first) that total $175.00.

I was so confused, I believe God has my back on this kind of stuff? and now I’m even more behind? What about the declaration we make? The very reason I give tithes is to have blessings on such matters. Minus 200.00 after fees and paid items? how is this legal, much less fair? I’m asking God how and why? Knowing all along it’s not His fault I didn’t go to the bank, but He’s saved me so many times before, why not this time??

So Thursday afternoon I go to the mail box, I couldn’t bring myself check the mail all week or to even look at another bill when there’s nothing in the bank to pay it? and sure enough there is a letter from my mortgage company. I’m thinking “Great? just what I need.” I run late sometimes, but not enough for them to send me a collection letter?!? I open it up and it says: Dear Ms. N ~ when reviewing your escrow account, it was determined you have overpaid!! Please accept this check in the amount of 496.38!! It had been there all along!!

The letter goes on~ because of the overpayments, my monthly payment will now be reduced!! LOL!! That’s what I get for doubting where God is at, huh?!? Because I lost faith I didn’t go to the mailbox, it had been there all along!!

Oh, and this is the best part? On my team at work is a very nice lady, I consider her a friend, however she is a self professed atheist. She knew what was happening on Tuesday (I told her) and I just couldn’t wait to tell her what happened on Friday. Hehehe!

I said, “remember how I went into overdraft Tuesday?” She replied, “Yeah, how did that all work out?” I said, “Well? I was really confused… I just couldn’t understand how this happened to me.” She said it happens to everyone. I said, “It wasn’t supposed to happen to me.” I explained I give my tithes out of faith every payday so God will protect me from this sort of thing (and yes, even my own lack of organization skills). She says, “You do?!?” (I wish you could have seen her face, at this point I could have been an alien from another planet). I said, yeah, and told her each week my church says a declaration asking for? God’s financial blessings on our lives, our church and our city. Again she had the same puzzled look. “You do?!?” only this time the pitch of her voice was higher. LOL! I said, “Yeah?. And look what was in my mailbox yesterday.” I showed her the check! This is so funny?. Her chin almost hit her desk!! And she says, “Oh my God!!”

( I didn’t say anything, but I’m thinking it sure is funny an atheist just acknowledged God because something amazing happed!) I said, “Yeah! Isn’t that great,” and went back to my seat.

Long story very short? I got almost the same letter from my water company. I overpaid them and they will be sending me a $350.00 check next week!!! This was due to my automatic payments from the bank going out more often than I had intended!! I had been paying too much every month for a year and a half.

Praise God!! I’m telling everyone!! How great God is!!

More Divine Justice…

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

We received this report earlier this month…

I had received a letter from the Health and Human Service Commission on Thursday stating that I was being investigated for fraud. There was a discrepancy in our reported income for nearly a year. I called the agency and was told that we would not only have to pay back the overpayment, but that I would lose any benefits I was entitled to over the next 12 months. I was frustrated after this phone conversation because I knew I had reported everthing I was supposed to.

The next day I received another letter in the mail, but this one was for the investigator in charge of my case. I called and left a message for her to call me back. While waiting for the call, we prayed for Divine Justice in the situation and put it in God’s hands.

The investigator called back within the hour and we discussed the case. After reviewing it further it was decided that I did report what I was supposed to report and it was a mistake on the agency’s behalf. We do still have to pay back any overpayment, but I will not lose my benefits and my case no longer falls under fraud!! Praise the Lord for all the wonderful things He does for us on a day to day basis. We are SO blessed!

Divine Justice!!

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

At our recent worship conference, Keith Luker described his experience in crying out for Divine Justice. After hearing Keith’s teaching, Brian and Jessica decided that they wanted Divine Justice for the things the enemy has stolen. Here’s what Brian experienced.

We made our list on Saturday (4/4/09) which included the loss of my job. We cried out for Divine Justice that evening. On Monday, I had an interview at 11:00 AM with a company I have been trying to get a job with for over a year. The interview went really well, and the interviewer said I would hear back from her as quickly as possible. A little before 1:00 PM, I received the call that the position was mine if I wanted it!

Congratulations to Brian on his new job. We’re looking forward to hearing more reports on things that have been restored.
