Liver Restored

April 15th, 2009

Here’s another story about God using a member of our body to speak life into someone.

I work with a young lady named Stephanie. She was crying and I asked her what was up. She said the Dr. had told her that her liver was shutting down and she probably only had a couple of months to live. I asked her if I could pray for her and she said yes. I prayed for her and she was still upset but had stopped crying.

After praying for her I didn’t see her again until this month, April 7th or so. She looked good, had color in her face and I asked her how she was doing. “Well I have just gotten removed from where I live and need a place to live.” Then she smiled and I asked her about how she was doing physically. She smiled and said she had just spent two days in the hospital. They had run tests for the two days and the Dr. couldn’t find anything wrong with her. She smiled again and said she knew God had healed her!!!

Yea God!!!

Our God Restores Relationships!!

April 12th, 2009

God even restores relationships that have been broken for a long time… Thank you Regina for sharing this testimony of hope.

Over the last few weeks God has made so many changes in my life. One of the things he wanted me to do was go to my mother and ask her for forgiveness. I cut her out of my life about seven years ago. God was very clear when he spoke to me about honoring my mother and my father. Wanting to be obedient to him I called and asked her for forgiveness.

She was very receiptive and was so happy that I wanted to have a relationship with her again. I asked if I could come see her; and that turned happiness to joy. God was clear that he wanted me to go see her and that my kids were to be part of it. They need to see what forgiveness looks like. God had put Easter weekend as the time to go. We didn’t have the funds to go on this trip but I knew God would provide. Taking a step of faith I started making reservations and told my mother I would let her know the details in a few days. True to his word, God provided the funds for us to go.

We arrived on Good Friday and we hugged, kissed and cried. I spent the weekend sharing with my mom what God has been doing in my life. During one of the times I was sharing she told me that she had stopped believing in God. I was really surprised because she grew up in church as a child and young adult. Her father was a pastor and I couldn’t imagine her not believing. She told me she stopped because she couldn’t imagine that if there was a God he would allow all the pain and hurt to happen to us in the past. The loss of the relationship with her kids was just too much. I shared with her what I see when I look back on my life and how I always knew Jesus was with me. Through the darkest times of my life he never left my side. I can look back now and see how the experiences I had as a child and teenager has molded into the person I am today. She told me that since I see it that way that she can start to believe in God again.

Before we left to come back home I asked if Bryan and I could pray for her. She said yes, so we prayed and part of my prayer was that God would heal her and give her strength. I want her to see herself the way God sees her. I shared with her that we need to let go of the guilt and pain of the past so it doesn’t hold us back from what God wants to do in our life. God not only restored my relationship with my mother; he also is using that restoration to restore her back to him. My mother emailed me on 4/14 and is interested in listening to the pod cast on the church website. I can’t promise that asking for forgiveness will always look like this, but I do know that by obeying God and having him plan everything out is so much sweeter than anything I could have ever tried to do myself. I hope this message blesses someone and gives them hope of what God can do and wants to do for us. I never asked this for myself out of ignorance; but God knows what was best for me.

More Divine Justice…

April 8th, 2009

We received this report earlier this month…

I had received a letter from the Health and Human Service Commission on Thursday stating that I was being investigated for fraud. There was a discrepancy in our reported income for nearly a year. I called the agency and was told that we would not only have to pay back the overpayment, but that I would lose any benefits I was entitled to over the next 12 months. I was frustrated after this phone conversation because I knew I had reported everthing I was supposed to.

The next day I received another letter in the mail, but this one was for the investigator in charge of my case. I called and left a message for her to call me back. While waiting for the call, we prayed for Divine Justice in the situation and put it in God’s hands.

The investigator called back within the hour and we discussed the case. After reviewing it further it was decided that I did report what I was supposed to report and it was a mistake on the agency’s behalf. We do still have to pay back any overpayment, but I will not lose my benefits and my case no longer falls under fraud!! Praise the Lord for all the wonderful things He does for us on a day to day basis. We are SO blessed!

Divine Justice!!

April 7th, 2009

At our recent worship conference, Keith Luker described his experience in crying out for Divine Justice. After hearing Keith’s teaching, Brian and Jessica decided that they wanted Divine Justice for the things the enemy has stolen. Here’s what Brian experienced.

We made our list on Saturday (4/4/09) which included the loss of my job. We cried out for Divine Justice that evening. On Monday, I had an interview at 11:00 AM with a company I have been trying to get a job with for over a year. The interview went really well, and the interviewer said I would hear back from her as quickly as possible. A little before 1:00 PM, I received the call that the position was mine if I wanted it!

Congratulations to Brian on his new job. We’re looking forward to hearing more reports on things that have been restored.

Staff Testimony Report – March 24, 2009

March 24th, 2009

The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy . (Rev. 19:10)

What’s The Good News?

  • Brian and Jessica’s car broke down on Sunday and someone paid for it to be fixed!
  • Amy received $50.00 at the Christian Book Expo and was unable to find a book to spend it on (which is a miracle). That $50 found it’s way to Robert, one of the Rhema students that was here for Spring Break. His sister had just prayed 2 days before for him to learn how to receive. Praise God!
  • Outreach Blitz – Our young people had quite a week!! Robert, Ashton and Paul were here from Rhema Bible Training Center and were able to practice their leadership skills as they fed into our teens. That’s a win-win situation!
    • Wednesday – Dallas Dream Center – We were able to make a connection there for future outreaches and also we helped paint a house for someone in their adopt-a-block program.
    • Thursday – Treasure Hunt – There was a salvation because of the outreach efforts – praise the Lord, we all have another brother! (Welcome to the family, Michael…) Most of the ‘treasures’ that were being looked for were found, and many of our teens had the opportunity to pray with people – some for the first time.
    • Friday – E.R. Trip – We went to Baylor Garland to pray for people in the E.R. When we got there, there wasn’t anyone in the E.R. so we went to Richardson Regional and we were able to pray with 10 people! Hallelujah!
  • Sunday Morning – Ladene’s knees were healed! Karen experienced some relief from shoulder pain!
  • Bartimaeus – Troy prayed for a man with diabetes who has experienced ongoing foot pain. When they finished praying his feet were pain free and he was walking around! A lady with glaucoma was prayed for and her eyes improved. An injured knee was healed and emotional wounds started to mend. A woman who has been wheelchair bound following a sever stroke showed some improvement in both movement and speech after being prayed for. A woman who has been in a wheel chair for over 10 years was able to move her left leg after being prayed for. A lady who was experiencing neck pain was healed.

We are so excited about everything the Lord is doing right now. We expect to see an increase in power, an increase in miracles, and increasing unity in the Kingdom. Please contact us with any testimonies you have so we can share your good news!! (You may always remain anonymous if you prefer.)

A LifeGroup prayed about Lymphoma…

March 18th, 2009

This report comes from Amber.  Not only does God heal cancer – he allows us to be a part of the process!

My dad was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma a few days before the Thanksgiving holiday. His body was COVERED in tumors and would need to under go chemo therapy as soon as possible. Because his insurance is Medicare, the “part B” just wouldn’t cover anything to get the process started and he went through A LOT just to get the chemo going.

The life group prayed for him not only to get the insurance mess straightened out, but also for healing in his body.

Yesterday he followed up with his oncologist after three rounds of chemo; the tumor in his Kidney is GONE! The tumors in all his lymphoids are GONE!

The tumors in his spleen & liver have shrunk!!

My dad has been a heart patient with heart attacks, triple bypass and pacemaker.

The strength of his heart increased from 44% to 56%. (Percent of what I’m not sure)

Apparently he will still need to undergo an additional 3 chemo treatments, each 3 weeks apart, but what an amazing improvement! Let’s keep believing that he will come through this completely restored.

Amber also had another great report…

PLUS~ I too received healing. Thanks to the prayers for healing on the 28th, my March 4th surgery was cancelled!! This is after I had obtained a second opinion and was told the only way to fix my finger was to surgically remove the blockage causing the problem. That would have meant little to no use of my right hand for almost a month.

Praise the Lord!!!

Cancerous Cyst Healed

March 13th, 2009

Someone called the church asking for prayer. He’d had a cyst that his doctors thought was probably cancerous. Randy prayed for him and cursed the cancer.

Here’s the report received:

I do not have words to express my thanks to you the way thanks should be expressed for taking time out to pray for me. I saw my doctor today (Wed.) receiving a good report. “NO” cancer was found, the biopsy came back with a good report and the cyst is gone they discovered when they did the CT scan. I will forever be thankful to you and them that have prayed for me. I am so very blessed to have great people in my life that know how to pray.

No cancer, and not even a cyst anymore. God is good!!!!

God Heals Ovarian Cysts!!

January 23rd, 2009

Pastor Randy said:

While in my office studying I received a call from a man saying his wife had been diagnosed with a cyst on her ovaries and due to the pain they wanted her to come into the office to determine if she should go into the hospital or if she could be treated at home. I asked if we could pray right now and they said yes. I asked him to put his wife on the phone and to place his hand on her body where the pain was.

When she came on the phone I asked her how she was. She stated that she was in a lot of pain. I told her about the testimonies of healing we had been experiencing here at Summit and said she could join her faith with mine as I prayed and she was going to be healed. I prayed and then asked her on a scale of 1-10, 1 being no change and 10 being totally gone, where was her pain. She said a nine and then I asked her what her pain was when we started she told me that when we first started talking she was experiencing sharp pains but now she was having no pain. Praise God, cyst dissolved and pain gone!!!

We also received a report directly from Crystal – the woman who was healed. She said:

I was diagnosed with a cyst on my right ovary @ 8cm big and I was in really bad pain. Pastor Randy said a prayer for me and the good Lord healed me! I am not in any pain as we speak. PRAISE THE LORD! He is the most awsome person in my life. Thanks Pastor Randy and thank You LORD…. PRAISE THE LORD.

God can bring rest…

January 8th, 2009

G. called and expressed that she was going through menopause and that she was not sleeping and needed some rest so she could function. She had been to the Doctor and he had prescribed a sleep aid but she did not want to use it. I prayed with her that she would sleep that night without the sleep aid and that her rest would be multiplied. I also declared that this natural process that she was going through would be free form the normal symptoms. I just received a message that last night she slept almost all night and she wanted more rest like that. She asked for more prayer for more sleep like she experienced so… In the mighty name of Jesus and in the authority of that name I declare that G. will sleep soundly every time she lays down to rest and that rest will be multiplied to her.
