What’s the GOOD NEWS?
We always begin our staff meetings with reports of what God has been doing. Here’s the latest.

- Liz was able to schedule a phone interview with one of Kay Bailey Hutchison’s aides.
- We had a large turn out at the burn!

In worship and Intercession Wednesday Night we ended our time with prayer for healing. One lady came up for prayer complaining about pain in her hips and knees stating that she had arthritis. We prayed for her and the pain immediately left her hips and legs and she began to run around the sanctuary yelling, “I can run and there is no pain!!!”
Praise God for miracles of healing!

Cheryl had several recent testimonies to share. Just more proof that God is good all the time!
- I had been looking for a job for several months.
Two days after the laying of hands and prayer, I was offered a contract to hire position through an agency. I had been waiting for 4 months without success. The assignment is only temporary for 4 months but I believe the Lord will place me in this job as long as I want to be there. It seems that others in the department where I will be working are not interested in the position. I have been told I am doing an excellent job and they are impressed at how I am managing the administrative portion of the department. This is the first positive feedback I have received and I was very encouraged. I will put in for the position when it is officially posted after October 1.
It was only through prayer that this position opened up and I was cleared with a thorough background screening very quickly.
The
people I dealt with through the agency were such a blessing and so
honest and helpful in finding me this position. The Lord led me to them
and his hand and annointing are on this situation.
- I received a letter from the State of California Controller’s Office stating that they had money for me that had been sitting in an account for over 20 years from the State of Arkansas. Although they have known my address from filing State taxes, they never contacted me until I moved to Plano. Anyway, I will be receiving $169.00 from an unknown source that has been sitting in account unclaimed all this time. Pretty amazing how those declarations work. A new job and now unclaimed money!
- At a recent service I was having severe ovary pain but was embarrassed to come forward. I leaned over and mentioned it to a friend. I think God wanted me to come forward to show me that his healing powers worked. I had really been skeptical in the past. I came forward with Debbie and Lisa and Amy laid hands and prayed.
Almost immediately, the pain in my left side went away – the right side remained but lifted a little. Everyone continued to pray and it mostly went away. When I returned to my seat it was totally gone within 30 minutes.
- While praying for the pain, Amy mentioned that she felt there was a situation with a male person that was causing me pain – she was right on the mark. It was specifically my relationship with one of my brothers. We prayed for both my brothers and about family dysfunctional issues.
Amy and Lisa prayed that both my brothers would reconcile with me; but if not, that I would have the strength to stand on what I know is right. The prayer was very uplifting.
Eleven days later my brother Nick called me after 9 months and apologized for his behavior toward me and there was reconciliation, forgiveness and honesty about his and his family’s behavior toward me. We came to an understanding. God had been working is his and his family’s life in the last months. My moving away had given them something to think about because I did not allow anyone to give them contact information until recently.
Two days later he called me again and we spoke until 1:30 in the morning (for 1-1/2 hrs) about my mother and my other brother. There have been some ongoing issues about how he treats our mother and other members of the family. This is what I took a stand about 2 years ago. He is an alcoholic who can be emotionally and verbally abusive. Everyone criticized me for exposing his behavior but now it is coming to fruition and I am being validated.
The Lord showed me through this conversation with my brother that he is working is all of my family to expose the evil doing of the enemy.
My heart has been uplifted and healed in many ways just by the infusion of the holy spirit as I drink it in at the Summit Church.I am grateful to those who have stood with me and prayed. Please continue as I try to find a car and a place to live.

One week ago last Friday we sent a healing team to pray for a young man in his twenties who had been sent home to die with an inoperable brain tumor. They told his wife there was nothing more the could do and scheduled 24 hour hospice in their home until he died. Corey and his wife Tanya are believers and when we offered to come and pray she said YES! He would have said yes but had not communicated for a while and was basically in a coma unable to feed himself or even drink water. They were having to feed him water through a sponge.
When we arrived in their home we were ushered into the bedroom and we began to pray. The tumor in his head, though not malignant, was aggressively growing and killing him. We blessed the tumor with the ability to die and then commanded it to do so. As we were praying Corey lifted his arm and began to praise God. He had not
been able to do that for weeks. He also lifted his leg and began to communicate through sign language, which he had never done before. We left with great faith knowing healing was his.
Over the next few days we began to get updates of his recovery. First he lifted his other leg. Then the Drs’ took him off of 24 hour hospice because they could not justify it any longer. Then the message came that he was beginning to speak in a whisper. Then he was able to eat a burrito and feed himself. They have now taken him off of hospice all
together and are scheduling physical therapy to rebuild weakened muscles from being immobile for so long. YEAH GOD!!!

What’s the GOOD NEWS?
We always begin our staff meetings with reports of what God has been doing. Here’s the latest.
- We had 38 visitors on Sunday morning.
- We received great reports from Northpointe church and Folic that their services were totally rocked and there were healings and the Spirit was moving.
- At the Holy Spirit Conference this past weekend, there was a couple that attended and God did an awesome work. Here is a little bit of their story. He had just revealed to her 2 days earlier that he had an affair. They have 3 children and the oldest who is a pre-teen realized something was up, He asked his mom if everything was OK. She said, no it isn’t but I know it will be OK. While they were here at the conference God helped restore the relationship and she actually said she feels NO anger. On Saturday she talked to her son and he asked how she was and she was able to tell him that everything was doing good and it was going to be alright. He told her that he was praying and she was able to tell him that his prayers worked.
Another cool thing that happened is that Alisha got a word for her, she felt like she was to give her a name tag that said Princess and that God was giving her a new name. When Alisha gave her the name tag she burst into tears and told Alisha that she was praying for a new name but she felt like God said He would bring it to her. WOW! Isn’t God Cool!
- Sunday morning we had 1 saved and 2 filled with the spirit with the evidence of tongues.
- Someone said that Sunday morning she felt a boulder that had been present in her life for 12 years had been removed.
- Amber was healed of back pain after the word of knowledge came forth Sunday morning.
- Kalin’s broken toe was healed
- A word was given to call people and pray for them over the phone. Anna a friend who has been diagnosed with Bi-Polar and after we prayed for her she said, ” I feel Happy.” Also Sharon called her mom who was suffering with terrible knee pain. After they prayed she felt the spirit all the way in California and she was walking around and crying. Totally Healed!
- Linda’s Back was healed
- Amy O. was healed of Scoliosis and rheumatoid arthritis! At lunch after service, she said, “My finger hurts, and I am so happy!” When she was asked her if she wanted prayer for it and she said, “No, I have been in so much pain that i didn’t even notice that my finger hurt, but now all the other pain is gone I can feel it. I like this pain. It makes me happy!”

Yet another testimony about God moving in the workplace. this is exciting!!
I prayed for a lady here at work on Monday that had a hernia and was in a lot of pain for the past few weeks. She had been taking pain pills all last weekend and had a sonogram last week that showed the hernia and was waiting for her
appointment with the surgeon. We prayed Monday for healing and she could feel the warmth of the holy spirit healing her. She got confirmation today from the surgeon that she does not have a hernia. He could find nothing wrong. She laughed and told him that God had healed her. She has been spreading the word of God’s healing.

We received this testimony of financial miracle from a member of our church. God is so good!!
Last week I was sharing with a friend about our financial struggles and how we are behind on our house payments and was in need of a miracle. I told her of the prophetic word that had been spoken over us and how I know God is faithful and he was going to take care of the situation. I also shared how my husband was struggling with a client and how I felt that we should forgive him of the debt he owes us; even though we need the money we need to bless them and forgive the debt. He met with the client the next day and told him that we are forgiving the debt so that it didn’t cause any hard feelings between us he was willing to let it go and he knew we were both struggling financially and this is a way we can bless him and make it easier for him.
My friend gave me this scripture Deuteronomy 15:1-6. I have never heard of the Year of Jubilee before and it really got me excited. I started to pray and claim this as the year of Jubilee for our family.
We were three months (almost four) behind on our mortgage. We spoke to our mortgage company last week and found out that we didn’t qualify for any help and we had to have one payment in by July 1st and the other three payments by July 20th. I knew what God had promised and the prophetic word that has been spoken about this situation. Then a check came in that would allow us to make one payment and give us a couple more weeks of breathing room. We were so grateful and praising God, knowing he would provide the rest.
I know our faith is being tested. Exercising this muscle getting us ready for what God has called us to do.
Monday I went to intercessory prayer and asked everyone what happened in church on Sunday since we were out of town. One thing that that was mentioned was that God gave a word to Pastor Randy of this being a year of Jubilee and Randy imparted it to the body. I knew that affirmed what God had showed me. Keep in mind that God had made a way for us to make one house payment so we were praising him and thanking him for what he had provided, but today God took it to a whole new level.
Tuesday we called to make a mortgage payment and they asked why? We were told that we didn’t owe a payment until August 1st and for the next three months our payments have been reduced. My husband couldn’t believe his ears and asked him to repeat it three times. We never made an agreement with our mortgage company. The paper work we filled out was denied because we didn’t qualify for assistance. God is our advocate and he provided a way for us not only to keep our house but to have reduced payments. I am in awe of him and his love for us.
Let this testimony affirm to you that this truly is the year of Jubilee for Summit church!!!

Treasure Hunt is just a name given to a scheduled opportunity to do what God wants us doing all the time – changing the atmosphere of our community and touching people’s lives. Here’s a report from our latest treasure hunting opportunity.
- On the treasure hunt Friday night, At Wal-mart Brian saw a women hunched over a walker. They asked what was wrong and she told them that she had herniated disks, he asked if he could pray for her. They prayed and she said she felt heat all over her body. They prayed again and she was totally healed. Later in Wal-mart they say her husband sitting on the walker and she was bent down looking at something on the bottom shelf!
- One group had an opportunity to help someone with their car that had broken down. Brain asked Alisha if there were any jumper cables in the van. Alisha didn’t think there were, but Fran spoke up with a word of knowledge and said, “back of the van, drivers side, little pouch.” So Brian went to the back of the van and found them in a little pouch on the drivers side. He said, “I found them.” Fran said, “Are they orange?” Brain said, “nope you missed that one.” Everyone laughed. Our God is so cool and He likes to have fun with us!
- The other group didn’t find all their treasures, but one of our youngest hunters (a seventh grader) had the opportunity to pray with a woman and her daughter for financial blessings. There is no “junior” Holy Spirit – praise God!
For more information about how to do your own Treasure Hunts or join in on one of ours, you can email brian.moyer@summitchurchwylie.org.
